Westmoreland County coroner reports 45 COVID-19-related deaths since pandemic began – WTAE Pittsburgh

The Westmoreland County coroner is now reporting 45 COVID-19-related deaths since the pandemic began.The coroner reported one additional death late on Tuesday.The coroner said the number of deaths he has confirmed are based on the person’s place of death being in Westmoreland County and not by that person’s residence.Since the pandemic began, 24 women and 21 men have died of COVID-19 in Westmoreland County.The ages of the people who have died range from 36 to 109.Thirty eight of the deaths were confirmed by positive testing and seven were presumed by symptoms.
